The summer days are here and heading outdoors.The weather was perfect outside - 90 degrees during the day, no storms and 70-60's during the night. The kids went swimming in the small blow up pool on the patio. Nathan loved jumping in and diving under the water! We had a campfire and the kids loved roasting marshmallows.
We hiked the trails at Fox Run Park near Monument and had a picnic lunch near the park. Nathan and Ashley walked around the small pond where we saw a turtle sun bathing on a rock near the pond. There were lots of dogs running around and splashing.
During the July 4th weekend, the weather was really wet and rainy but not too cool. We actually saw a double rainbow after the rainstorm. We had LezLee and Larry over and eat fried chicken, corn on the cob, potato salad and watermelon. Couldn't get more American than that! Then we had a camp fire, lit a few fireworks and watched them on the TV.
It has been some great lazy days of summer!
